Hyundai Ioniq 2022 Rumors, New Electric Car Model

Hyundai Ioniq 2022 Rumors, New Electric Car Model

Hyundai Ioniq 2022 Rumors, New Electric Car Model – With Hybrid, Hybrid plug-ins, battery-electric, and hydrogen fuel cell cars already in the lineup, Hyundai has a covered eco-friendly base. Now Korea’s automotive plans to expand its green car lineup. Hyundai aims to have 13 new or updated models with a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or electric powertrains in the lineup by 2022. That includes six conventional cars and seven SUVs.

Not all of these models will be entirely new, however. The total includes an updated 2020 Hyundai Ioniq, which will debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Ioniq 2020 is expected to be the current model refresh, rather than redesign. Hyundai will continue to offer Ioniq with hybrids, plug-in hybrid, and battery-electric powertrains – accounting for three of the 13 slots. Details on the 2020 Ioniq are scarce, but all-electric versions will get a boost for 170 miles of reach, according to a green car report.

The 13-Total model also includes a hybrid version of the redesigned 2020 Hyundai Sonata sedan. Hyundai already offers hybrid powertrain in the Sonata current generation, so the new hybrid just replaces the existing model. The conventional gasoline version of the 2020 Sonata is expected to go on sale before the end of the year, but Hyundai hasn’t released its launch date for hybrids. Also unclear is whether Hyundai will launch a new Sonata plug-in hybrid to replace the current model.

The remaining nine new models will be revealed over the next three years, a press release of Hyundai said. In addition to the electrically-based Ioniq and Sonata models, Hyundai currently has an electric version of the Kona crossover battery in the lineup. It has between the highest ranges of any mainstream electric car, at 258 miles. But Hyundai has been slow to Ramp up sales. This Model was originally only available in California before gradually expanding to some other electric-friendly car-country.

Hyundai does not mention specific plans for new hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Hyundai Nexo is one of only three fuel cell cars sold in the United States. This is a relatively fresh design, so the new version is not expected in the near term. Sales are currently limited to California because no other country has an adequate amount of hydrogen stations. It makes the launch of both Hyundai fuel cell vehicles impossible, for now.

However, Hyundai has expressed interest in selling commercial fuel cell trucks in the US. It recently launched a sleek concept truck and is building a fleet of trucks for operations in Switzerland. Fuel cells may be more suitable for commercial trucks because these vehicles tend to operate from designated terminals, reducing the need for large network refueling stations.

Hyundai promised to sell 13 new alternative fuel vehicles up to 2022, but it was not very precise. If you already know this product, they are not really new, right? This is why we prefer to tell you that the company will sell nine new fuel alternative cars in the next three years. The other four are not mysteries. Maybe even more than that.

The first is the fresh Ioniq that is already served in Europe and Asia. You read about it at least a few times here on InsideEVs and know Restyling brings better EV. But Hyundai counts as three different vehicles because Ioniq has a hybrid plug-in and hybrid version of the vehicle.

Does using different powertrain settings make different vehicles? If that happens, ordinary cars and their hybrid derivatives should also be considered as different models. Or vehicles with different engine and gearbox options. We do not think that is very accurate, so we will calculate the new Ioniq as a single new car with alternative fuel options.
