New 2023 Hyundai Sonata Redesign

New 2023 Hyundai Sonata Redesign

New 2023 Hyundai Sonata Redesign – With this redesigned sedan only entering its third model year, we expect the Hyundai Sonata 2023 to be a carryover model.

The redesigned Sonata offers a striking look that includes a wind-carved body with sleek silhouettes, and sharp body lines. It also offers unique headlights that meet pieces of chrome trim flowing towards the greenhouse, a bold grille, a coupe-like-like roof, and a full-width one-piece rear light bar. With this redesign still fresh, we hope the new Hyundai Sonata retains this look.

The Hyundai Sonata 2023 is an excellent way to get attention when driving a family sedan. Her dramatic style includes exaggerated proportions, a standout grille, and unique design cues featuring bright trim spears flowing along with the front fenders and into the headlights to create what designers call “signature lighting.”

Inside, the Sonata showcases a sophisticated and attractive space loaded with high-end features and plenty of passenger space. Although the Sonata is not fast or attractive to drive, it has a trio of efficient powertrains, including hybrid options that have a higher government fuel economy rating than the Toyota Camry hybrid.

However, Hyundai is less about numbers and more about value, thanks to its affordable price and an impressive amount of content.

2023 Hyundai Sonata Models

We Expect Hyundai to deliver the New Sonata 2023 wheel-and-tire combo and additional features. The SEL Plus model now comes with Pirelli P Zero season-long tires mounted on 19-inch wheels. SEL, SEL Plus, and Limited have smart standard safe exit warnings that alert passengers to upcoming traffic when cars are parked in parallel.

The most fantastic Sonata model now comes standard with a six-way front passenger seat that can be adjusted to power. Racy N Line models with turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder 290 hp also join the lineup.

Inside, the Sonata’s design takes a step toward being shy, but still unique. The cab includes a classic-looking four-talk steering wheel, thin HVAC vents, shiny black accents, a thin dashboard with a focus on horizontal lines, a push-button shifter, a dash-top infotainment screen, and more. This design is all still relatively fresh, so we hope there will be no change by the time the Sonata 2023 arrives.

As for the standard features, we expect the Sonata 2023 to continue with the same as the current model. Key features include 16-inch wheels, upholstery, an 8.0-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and LED headlights.

Not only is the SEL Plus model the most affordable way to get an upgraded 180 hp turbo-four engine, but it’s also the only Sonata that currently comes with 19-inch rims and improved season-long tires.

The hotel also features a fully 12.3-inch digital measuring cluster, leather and microsuede upholstery, rear-seat air vents, and USB ports, as well as wireless charging. We will choose our chosen Sonata with Tech package as well. It adds a Bose stereo 12 speaker, a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, and semi-autonomous drive mode.

2023 Hyundai Sonata Engine

Under its hood, the Sonata currently has two powertrain options, starting with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. Up one notch is an optional 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 180 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque.

The entire Sonata range comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. We expect this powertrain option to remain the same in the Sonata 2023.

The Hyundai Sonata is currently an IIHS Top Safety Pick thanks to “Good” results in all crash tests and an optional LED projector headlight rated “Good”. All Sonatas come standard with automatic emergency braking, active lane control, and adaptive cruise control.

Upgrading to Limited adds a standard blind-spot monitor and surround display camera system. We expect these ratings and safety features to remain the same in the new Sonata.

The Sonata has a set of highly fuel-efficient powertrains, with hybrid versions having the highest EPA estimates. Blue hybrids are rated up to 50 mpg in the city and 54 on highways, and other hybrid Sonatas are expected to reach 45 mpg in the city and 51 on highways.

The 2.5-liter base engine has an estimate of up to 28/38 mpg city/highway; Turbocharged 1.6-liter engines cost 1 mpg in both categories. On our 200-mile highway route, our turbocharged Sonata tested a 31 mpg view in the real world.

That’s 6 mpg below EPA estimates, but about the equivalent of some of the similar sedans, we’ve tested. We haven’t had a chance to run the numbers in the rest of the Sonata lineup, so it remains to be seen whether non-turbo engines or hybrid models do a better job in line with government expectations.

2023 Hyundai Sonata Interior

The interior of the Sonata is attractive and feels more valuable than the sticker price of the sedan. The rear seats are comfortable and spacious, the material looks and feels upscale, and the dashboard layout is simple and ergonomic.

The Sonata’s 16 cubic feet of cargo space is about what we expect from a mid-size sedan — both the best and the worst on the set. However, we matched our seven carry-on suitcases in the luggage, which is plenty of room for a long trip with the family.

on the infotainment system, Hyundai relies on an 8.0-inch center touchscreen. On SEL models with Convenience, SEL Plus, and Limited models, there is also a 12.3-inch digital measuring cluster.

The durability of Hyundai’s new technology is a feature it calls the Digital Key, which allows owners to use Hyundai apps and their smartphones to unlock cars using near-field communication (NFC) and operate certain vehicle functions remotely. This will allow drivers to leave the key fob behind if and when their active lifestyle makes carrying one inconvenient.

Hyundai Sonata Safety

The Sonata received a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It was also named the Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Hyundai’s SmartSense driver assistance feature is standard and includes automatic high beam assistance, adaptive cruise control, and attention warnings for drivers who can feel sleepy or distracted driving. The Sonata can even pull in and out of the parking lot while you wait for it from the outside. However, that feature is reserved for top-level Limited trim. Key security features include:

  • Standard forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking
  • Standard line departure warnings and line guard assistance
  • Blind-spot monitoring and rear traffic warnings available

2023 Hyundai Sonata Release Date and Price

here there is no official sales date set for the new Hyundai Sonata, but we expect summer 2022 arrivals based on previous schedules.

The price is also unofficial. With no changes to come, we expect the 2023 Hyundai Sonata to remain close to the current MSRP range of $24,595 to $34,845 (including destination fees).

This midsize sedan will fight the Honda Accord, Kia K5, and Toyota Camry.
