2021 Hyundai Accent Powertrain
The Accent 2021 is part of a generation that starts with the model 2018 years. The only important change for 2021 involves the powertrain. The engine now puts 10 less horsepower (120, down from 130) and 6 fewer pounds-feet torque (113, down from 119). In addition, an optional transmission now is CVT instead of a six-speed automatic.
There are no important changes for 2019. As part of the 2018 redesign, Hyundai dropped a five-door hatchback body style and reduced Accent horsepower by 7. In addition, the rearview camera becomes standard, and forward-collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto become available.
You can potentially save thousands of dollars by shopping for Accent use, but know that you will lose on the updated redesign if you choose the pre-2018 model. The Toyota Corolla is a compact car, making it larger than the subcompact accent. Corolla has many more features than Hyundai, but the Accent has a larger trunk and is comparable in terms of interior quality. The Corolla offers an ECO model that is much more fuel-efficient than accents, but instead, the two provide the same level of performance. The right choice here comes to your personal preference.
The Accent sits five people. Both rows of seats provide a good amount of space for a small car, and two adults can fit in the back without much difficulty. Seats could use a bit more support, but they are comfortable overall.

Upgrade to variable automatic transmissions continuously, and Accent is becoming more fuel-efficient than most rivals. Ratings jump to 33 MPG in the city and 41 MPG on the highway.
This Hyundai provides a comfortable ride during the smooth road, but when the sidewalk will be rough, the trip can feel jittery. Handling-wise, Accent holds itself but has no agility some class rivals.
The Accent 2021 is present in three models: SE, SEL, and Limited. Each model is equipped with a 120-Horsepower four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. Most buyers have to jump into a limited-topping Trim range. It offers the most features in the lineup, and there are less than the price difference of $2,000 between it and the medium level cell trim.
