2021 Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line Release Date
2021 Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line Release Date – Hyundai tested a facelift for i30 N, the performance version of the i30 hatchback that we get in the USA as Elantra GT. The i30 N was never sold here but the update was seen on the prototype may hint at the same tweaks tied to the mechanistic related mechanical N. Some updates may also represent tweaks bound to regular i30.
There is a new fascias front and back, with the design behind the larger sports mesh section. The Internal backlight also sports a new design, although they are hidden by camouflage teeth.

It seems also that the exhaust tip has been enlarged, which may hint at extra strength. The i30 N is currently equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 which develops 246 horsepower in the guise standard and 271 HP with available performance packs.
It is not clear what other changes are planned with this facelift, although there are rumors of dual-clutch transmission being developed for the i30 N/Veloster N, so maybe we can see it offered as an alternative to the 6-Speed standard manual with a facelift. There is also talk about an all-wheel-drive system developed for automobiles.

It’s also possible that some modifications that were developed for this year’s i30 N Project C Special Edition will be made available with this facelift. Among the mods are carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic components, 19-inch light-alloy wheels, a rear buffer turret buffer, and lowered suspension. Look for the i30 N facelift that will be introduced in the second half of 2020.
Elantra GT Base competes with some of the best hatchbacks on the market, including Volkswagen Golf, Honda Civic, and Mazda 3. Hyundai cannot match the level of responsiveness or solidity of the industrial stalwarts. The N line is a more desirable proposition. It is faster and stronger than the standard version of Golf, Civic, and 3, but it is cheaper than most of the higher performance versions of those competitors including GTI and Civic Si.
If you want a panoramic sunroof, Adaptive Cruise Control, track-constantly help, Premium audio systems, and ventilated seats, you must first Pony up for an optional dual-clutch automatic transmission. Item-Items-along with additional manners-are part of a technology package that is not offered on N Lines with manual transmissions. And such security systems are not available at all on the basic GTs.
2021 Hyundai Elantra GT Engine
The Elantra GT is a front-wheel-drive hatchback, driven by a fine 161-HP four-cylinder engine or a 201-HP four-cylinder turbocharged. The base machine pairs are exclusive with six-speed automatic transmission, while the Zestier version receives a standard six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic.
The ordinary GT is not offensive to casual drivers, but the engine without turbochargers is less attractive than most competitors. The version we tested had the latest acceleration times between similar rivals. We do like a throttle response that lives in low revs, and automatic transmissions are operated smoothly and unobtrusively.
However, the responsiveness level is at a higher Engine speed, where rough Engine noise also interferes with the cab. While we haven’t driven the recently renamed Elantra GT N Line, we have previously tested the GT Sport named. It went from zero to 60 mph in class-competitive 6.6 seconds with manual transmissions, but the same equipped Volkswagen Golf GTI did it in 5.9 seconds. However, the Hyundai shifter is easy to manipulate, and the clutch pedal works smoothly and linearly.
2021 Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line Interior
Each of our GT drove exhibited an extraordinary journey as we drove over various surfaces of a canvas road that is southeast of Michigan. Never feel jittery in the wavy parts, the passengers are well insulated from the harsh impacts, and the lack of shakes and the sound of good lighters to build quality. GT has competent handling under the absolute boundary and balanced chassis that are avoided feeling lifeless.
The steering light is accurate but has no feedback from rivals such as Mazda 3 and Volkswagen Golf. The Hyundai brake Pedal is surprisingly in its response to our inputs, with a firmer feel in Stop-and-Go city traffic and less bite on the highway.
Despite the underwhelming of the EPA forecast, the ordinary Elantra GT showed impressive real-world fuel economy in our testing. The number of governments predicts getting 25 mpg city and 32 highway. The turbocharged Elantra GT N Line has the same rank as the automatic transmission optional, but the standard manual gearbox drops both ranked by 2 MPG each.
The GT commonly exceeds the government’s estimate with 5 MPG on the 200-mile highway test we route, a margin some cars can achieve. Similarly, this observed 37 MPG tied with top competitors such as the Chevrolet CRUZE and Honda Civic. The Hyundai turbocharged engine exceeded EPA forecast with 1 MPG in our highway fuel-economy test, but 31 MPG is 5 MPG less than both the Honda Civic Si and the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
Inside, Elantra GT has a sophisticated style highlighted by tight-fitting panels and good quality materials. The standard version has a fabric surface available in black or beige. Soft-Touch interior plastics and silver pieces Trim the bottom offset of the cab, which is sheathed in a hard plastic-type that is unavoidable at this price point.
While high-quality cabins are standard, every luxury item costs a lot more because it is combined into an expensive package. Unfortunately, the back seats are stricter than competitors and some notable features are absent.
2021 Hyundai Elantra GT Features
Each GT features a responsive 8.0-inch touchscreen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the glossy-Black bezel system interferes with clean interior design, it has easy-to-use controls.
The Elantra GT does what hatchbacks do the best – bringing more stuff than the same sized sedan. This was held five carry-on luggage behind the rear seat in our tests and had the largest cargo volume among similar competitors. Hyundai also features a competitive interior Cubby storage, including handy door front pockets and a large center-console bin.
